PackSense Pee/Poop Format

Beginning on short leash, take your dog on a walk route that you can repeat every waking moment for the dog. A waking moment for your dog is anytime you take it out of the crate. Next, you will select an area on this walk route where you will take your dog to pee and poop. Knowing that your dog needs to go pee and/or poop (like on first walk in morning), when you exit your home you should not stop walking even though your dog may try to stop you until you get to the pre-selected area to have your dog pee and poop at each time.

Along the way, if your dog tries to stop on its own, you should prompt it to keep moving each time with a soft tug on the leash as you continue walking (you should try to not stop because your dog stops). Since you are on a short leash you can use the additional length of leash in your hand to extend in order to allow yourself to keep moving and then use a soft tug on the leash to get the do moving again in your direction and then go back to short leash when it catches up to you.

When you arrive at the your predetermined poop/pee area, you should then give your dog the full length of the 10ft leash and you stand in one spot like a rigid post until your dog does its business within the 10ft leash radius you have provided it.
